Diocesan Shrine and Parish of St. Augustine

The Diocesan Shrine and Parish of St. Augustine, commonly called Baliwag Church or Baliuag Church, is a historic Baroque church located near Plaza Naning in Baliuag, Bulacan. Established by the Augustinians in 1733 under the patronage of St. Augustine of Hippo, the church is distinguished by its elaborate facade, richly designed interiors, and historic batingaw. The town celebrates its annual feast every second Sunday of May, while the patronal feast of St. Augustine is observed every August 28. On February 13, 2024, Baliuag Church was formally granted the title of Diocesan Shrine, further recognizing its religious importance to the local Catholic community. In August 2026, it was also declared an Important Cultural Property by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts.
