San Roque Cathedral

San Roque Cathedral Parish, commonly known as Caloocan Cathedral, is a historic Catholic church dedicated to Saint Roch, widely known in the Philippines as San Roque. During the Philippine Revolution and the subsequent Philippine-American War, the church became a gathering point for Katipuneros traveling from Manila's western areas toward Balintawak. Its long history has made the cathedral an important religious and cultural landmark for the local Catholic community. During the Great Jubilee of 2000, San Roque Church was designated as one of the Jubilee Churches of the Archdiocese of Manila. The cathedral continues to welcome the faithful for regular worship, with visitors able to check the mass schedule today as well as Sunday services before attending. With its historical significance and continuing role in the community, San Roque Cathedral remains an important center of Catholic faith in Caloocan.
