Chapel of the Most Blessed Sacrament

The Chapel of the Most Blessed Sacrament, also known as the MBS Chapel or DLSU Chapel, is the main and largest chapel of De La Salle University in Manila. Built in the 1930s and completed on November 17, 1939, the chapel features an Art Deco design and has become an enduring part of the university's history. During the Battle of Manila in 1945, the chapel became the site of a tragedy when retreating Japanese troops killed at least 60 civilians who had sought refuge inside. After the war, permission was granted in 1946 for a reconciliation ceremony and the chapel's rededication to the Most Blessed Sacrament, followed by its official blessing on December 20, 1947. Today, the MBS Chapel continues to serve the DLSU community as a place for mass, prayer, and reflection for students, faculty, alumni, and visitors.
