Time flies by fast and we cannot believe that it has been 6 months since we launched the MisaDito church finder web app in March of this year. A lot of things have happened and our team of volunteer programmers, designers, and encoders have been busy building new features and adding in more church data to the MisaDito platform.
Below is a summary of the major developments and new features that were built and delivered in the past 6 months:
Weather widget
Whenever you visit a church page, you will see the current weather of the city or area where the church is located. This will help you prepare your day ahead if you plan for a church visit.
Weather data is provided by OpenWeather.
Improved search
When MisaDito was launched, the search feature was not returning the desired city or church results when searching for certain keyword combinations.
We have made huge improvements to the search functionality which now lets you easily find the church you are looking for in a certain city or province.
Nearby churches
On the church pages, you will see a list of the five nearest churches that are within 15 kilometers from the current church being viewed. This feature will be very useful if you are planning multiple church visits within the area.
Mass times by day
Still in the church profile pages, you can now easily see the Saturday or Sunday mass schedules available within that city.
More church info and mass times added
Since we launched, we have already added thousands of churches in our church directory. We have also completed profiles and mass times or schedules for churches in Metro Manila, Cebu, Davao del Sur, Leyte, and several other provinces!
MisaDito has now been getting thousands of monthly views and users from all around the world and is continuing to grow month by month. Our social media channels are also steadily growing and have been getting inspiring feedback from our users. Thank you for all your support and prayers!
